Henriette Fauth

Henriette Fauth was born in Berlin in 1990 and received her first violin lessons at the age of five. She was scholar at the „Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Gymnasium“, the International Music Academy for the Promotion of Musically Gifted Children and the Julius-Stern-Conservatory in Berlin.

From 2005-2007 Henriette attended the music high school „Schloss Belvedere“ in Weimar where she received instruction from Prof. Matthias Wollong. In October 2007 she took up her studies at the Music Academy Freiburg in the class of Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg. In April 2009 she changed to the University of Arts in Berlin.

In the first years of her studies Henriette Fauth successfully participated in several competitions: in 2000, she was named best foreign participant at the International Kocian Violin Competition in Usti nad orlici (Czech Republic) and received 2nd Prize. From 1998-2007 she received First Prizes only at the competitions „Jugend musiziert“ on local, regional and national levels in the categories solo violin and chamber music as well as the special prize of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. She has repeatedly performed as a soloist with the Kammerphilharmonie Potsdam, Jena Philharmonic, Gera Symphony and the Berlin Symphony amongst others under Gustavo Dudamel. Henriette partook in the Weimar Masterclasses in the class of Prof. Thomas Brandis, in the Brühl Masterclasses  „Konturen“, in the International Concert Weeks Goslar with Prof. Hatto Beyerle and Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg and was invited to the Gustav-Mahler-Academy in Ferrara in September 2007. In 2008 she participated at the International Music Academy Marktoberdorf and the Festival Les Arcs (Bourg-Saint-Maurice). In 2009 she was invited to the Summer Academy Mattheis in Bad Sobernheim and attended lessons with Erich Hörbath at the International Summer Academy Bad Leonfelden.

Since 2006 Henriette is deputy concertmaster of the International Mahler Orchestra (IMO) with whom she guests in various European cities - also as a soloist and chamber musician – performing e.g. Prokofiev´s Violin Concerto No. 1 at Salle Gaveau in Paris. In September 2009 she featured as a soloist for Mendelssohn´s Violin Concerto in E minor and Haydn´s Violin Concerto in C major. In 2010 she was invited to the music festival Schloss Cappenberg and the International chamber music festival Zagreb. In January 2011 she performed in the concert series „Podium junger Solisten“ in the baroque hall of Tegernsee and together with Giulietta Koch and Norbert Anger in the Tonhalle Zürich.

Prizewinner of the competition of the German Music Instruments Fund carried out by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben from 2008 – 2010, Henriette plays a loan instrument of the luthier Carlo Giuseppe Testore (Milan 1700).
