Elena Semenova

Elena Semenova was born in Samara (Russia) in 1993, and received her first violin lessons at the age of five. In 2001 she moved to Professor Marina Keselman’s class at the Moscow State School of Music P. I. Tchaikovsky, and progressed to the Moscow State Conservatory in 2009. Since 2013 she has been studying under Professor Leonid Sorokow at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She also receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, and attends the intensive music weeks there.

The young violinist has attended masterclasses in Bulgaria, Germany, England, Croatia, Latvia, Austria and Russia and has performed in numerous concerts.

Elena Semenova has successfully taken part in several national and international competitions. She won her first competition at the age of eight, when she was awarded 1st prize in the “Russian Violin Competition”. In 2014 she won 2nd prize at the “Internationaler Beethoven-Wettbewerb” competition for violin.
