Helga Korbar

Born in Zagreb in 1994, Helga Korbar attended the Music School “Pavao Markovac” where she graduated in the violin class of Prof. Silvano Kuzmin in 2011. Subsequently, she enrolled in Prof. Kuzmin’s class at the Music Academy in Zagreb. Since 2013, she has been studying in the class of Prof. Leonid Sorokov. Helga is a fellow at the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein where she attends programs at the intensive music weeks.

She continues to improve her musical skills at master classes of renowned pedagogues and artists such as E. Huhn, I. Kalanj, M. Sorokova, E. Durnovo, Ch. Altenburger, A. Kushner and L. Sorokov.

Helga has won several awards at national competitions as a soloist and chamber musician. Her talent earned her one first and four second prizes as well as the special prize for the best performance of a Croatian composition at the international competition “Lions Grand Prix”.

Helga Korbar has appeared as an orchestra soloist with works by Antonio Vivaldi, Arcangelo Corelli and Béla Bartók. Furthermore, she has actively participated in the summer weeks for baroque music “Æstas Musica” in Varaždin.
