Veronica Scotti

Veronica Scotti was born in 2000 and started receiving violin lessons at the age of six in Paris and Vienna. From 2011 to 2015 she was a student in Professor Marina Sorokowa’s class for exceptionally gifted young musicians at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She is currently studying in the preparatory course, also at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where she participates in the intensive music weeks.

The young violinist has won 1st prizes in both the solo violin and chamber music categories of the Austrian national “Prima la Musica” competition. In 2012 she was awarded a special prize for “exceptional cantabile” at the “Josef Windisch Competition” of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

As a soloist, Veronica Scotti has performed with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (under the baton of Ivo Drazinic) and the Franz Schmidt Kammerorchester (under the baton of Nicolas Radulescu). She has also appeared in concerts in France, Croatia, Austria and Switzerland.
