Juliana Fretska was born in Vienna in 2004. She began violin lessons at the age of three, and gave her first public performance at a music festival in Dubrovnik when she was just four years old. From 2010 to 2015 she participated in Professor Marina Sorokowa’s class for exceptionally talented young musicians at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has also been studying piano with Jadwiga Padjas M.A. since the age of four.

The young violinist has already taken part in several masterclasses, including masterclasses held in Dubrovnik, Opatija, Rijeka, Mali Lošinj and St. Pölten. She also receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where she participates in the intensive music weeks.

Juliana Fretska has given several public performances both as a violinist and a pianist. In both 2012 and 2014 she was awarded 1st prizes with distinction at the Austrian competition for young musicians “Prima la Musica”. The young violinist had her first appearance as a soloist with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of Ivo Drazinic in July 2015.
