Chiara Enderle

Chiara Enderle was born into a musical family in Zürich in 1992. She studied in Zürich with Thomas Grossenbacher and has been continuing her studies with Jens Peter Maintz in Berlin since October 2012. In addition to her studies, she has attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as David Geringas and Ralph Kirshbaum. She especially draws inspiration from her regular work with Steven Isserlis in Prussia Cove. She also receives a scholarship to attend the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where she participates in the intensive music weeks.

Chiara Enderle has gained experience as a soloist with orchestras at home and abroad, for example with the Zürich Symphony Orchestra, the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, the Sinfonisches Orchester Arbon and the Jugend Sinfonieorchester Zürich.

As a passionate chamber musician, the young cellist enjoys playing together with her parents, who are members of the “Carmina Quartet”. She also performs regularly at the Open Chamber Music Festival in Prussia Cove, which led to engagements at the Wigmore Hall in London and at the Salzburg Festival in 2012.

In February 2013, Chiara Enderle won 1st prize and two special prizes at the acclaimed “Witold Lutoslawski International Cello Competition”. In February 2014 she participated in the NEXT GENERATION Festival Bad Ragaz.
