Petar Pejcic was born into a musical family in Serbia in 2002 and received his first cello lessons at the age of four. After beginning his musical career in Belgrade, he moved to Germany in 2017 to continue his studies at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig with Prof. Peter Bruns.
He took part in master classes with David Geringas, Frans Helmerson, Ivan Monighetti, Josef Schwab, István Várdai and Jan Vogler, and received important musical impulses from Mischa Maisky and Wen-Sinn Yang, among others. He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.

The resulting works – BACH OFF! and Premonitions of a Larger Plan – show a new perspective on the relationship between musicians and dancers.
As a winner of the Martin Stadtfeld Prize 2021, Petar recorded his first CD entitled Intima poetica, which was published by the Foundation of Friends of Young Musicians Mainz-Wiesbaden e.V.
