Zvjezdan Vojvodic was born in 2003 in Croatia. He’is a piano student of professor-advisor Ivanka Kordic at the Vatroslav Lisinski High School of Music in Zagreb.
He has attended master classes conducted by renowned pianists and pedagogues, including Yuri Kot, Grigory Gruzman, Eugen Indjic, Milana Chernyavska, Andreas Frölich, Claudio Martinez Mehner, Jacques Rouvier, Vladimir Ovchinikov, Natalia Trull, Fulvio Turissini, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Dalibor Cikojevic, Ðorde Stanetti, Danijel Detoni and Ida Gamulin. Furthermore, he received a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and took part in the intensive music weeks and activities offered by the academy.
Zvjezdan won prizes at national and international competitions. At croatian state competitions, he won the 1st prizes for piano solo in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021 and for piano duo in 2016 and 2019. At the “Koroško Piano Competition” he won the 1st prize and the special award for the best performed musical pieces of classicism. In 2016, he was declared the competition laureate of the “Davorin Jenko Competition” in Serbia. In 2016, he also won 1st prizes in Hungary at the “Danubia Talents International Music Competition” and in Italy in Cortemilia at the “International Music Competition Premio Vittoria Caffa Righetti”. In 2017, Zvjezdan won the 2nd prize at the “Cesar Franck International Piano Competition” in Kraainem, Belgium, 1st prizes at the “International Piano Competition Merci Maestro” (Belgium) and at the “International Piano Competition Jurica Murai” (Croatia), where he was declared the competition laureate. He also won the 1st absolute prize at the “12th Ars nova International Music Competition Trieste” (Italy) and at the 50th “International Piano Competition Virtuosi per musica di Pianoforte” in Czech Republic, where he was declared the overall winner and won several special prizes. As a laureate of that competition, Zvjezdan was invited to perform a piano concerto with the North Bohemian Orchestra on the competition opening ceremony in 2018. In 2018, he won the 1st prize at the “Isidor Bajic Piano Competition” in Serbia and in 2019 at the “EPTA Competition” in Croatia. In the period of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic from autumn of 2020, he participated in online competitions in different age categories in different European countries. He won 17 1st prizes and was even declared a laureate six times. Furthermore, he is the winner of two Oscars of knowledge from the Ministry of Science and Education in Croatia.
Zvjezdan has performed as a soloist and as a member of a piano duo throughout Croatia and Europe. As a soloist, he has performed with the North Bohemian Orchestra in the Czech Republic and with the Karlovac Chamber Orchestra. He was declared as the best young musician in the 2019/20 season in the cycle of concerts of young musicians organized
by Jeunesses Musicales Croatia.
From the school year 2020/21 he is a scholarship holder of the City of Zagreb for excellence.
