Ana Dadic

Ana Dadic was born in 1993 in Croatia. She finished her primary and secondary music education at the Music School Vatroslav Lisinski in Zagreb, where she studied with Ivanka Kordic (piano) and Vesna Crnigoj (flute). She graduated in the piano class of Prof. Ruben Dalibaltayan and in the flute class of Prof. Renata Penezic at the Music Academy in Zagreb. Currently she is a master piano student in the class of Prof. Grigory Gruzman at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar. As a part of the student exchange programme (from 2014 to 2016), she has studied flute with prof. Matej Zupan at the Music Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

Ana was also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and took part in the intensive weeks there.

As a pianist she has won over 30 1st prizes in various national and international competitions, both as a soloist and as a member of chamber music ensembles. Notable competitions include 1st prizes in national competitions in Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Opatija, the international competition “Zlatko Grgoševic” in Zagreb, “Lions Grand Prix” in Rijeka, “Pianoforte” in Porec, “EPTA competition” in Osijek, “Citta di Gorizia” and “Ars nova Trieste” in Italy and the “International competition for young pianists Aco Bertoncelj” in Velenje (Slovenia). She has also represented Croatia at the 26th EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association) conference in Rome. The Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport has awarded her the “National Excellence Prize” eight times. Ana has also made recordings for HRT (Croatian Radio Television). As a flutist, she has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions, such as the 1st prizes at the “National Competition” in Zagreb in 2016, in the “International competition Bistricki Zvukolik” in 2014 and 2015, in the “Woodwind and Brass Competition” in Varaždin in 2015. At the “Anton Eberst Competition” in Novi Sad (Serbia) in 2015 she won the 3rd prize and the 2nd prize in the “3rd International young musicians competition Ars nova” in Trieste (Italy) in 2007. 

Ana has performed in Croatia, Austria, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Germany, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia. She has also performed with numerous prestigious chamber music ensembles, such as the Zagreb String Quartet and the Rucner String Quartet. As a concert soloist, she has performed with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zagreb Music Academy Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of the Croatian Armed Forces.
