Pavle Krstic

Pavle Krstic was born in 1998 in Serbia and is an Austrian-based pianist. He was a participant of many music academies such as the International Mendelssohn Academy in Leipzig, the International Music Academy Enharmonia in Spain, the Accademia Internazionale di Musica di Cagliari and the Mozarteum International Summer Academy in Salzburg. Currently he is pursuing a Master of Piano Performance degree at the class of Prof. Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, which is where he holds a teaching assistant position for Musical Forms and Analysis.

Pavle has attended numerous master classes with recognized pianists and professors like Piotr Paleczny, Dina Yoffe, Dmitri Alexeev, Jacques Rouvier, Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist, Pavel Nersessian, Markus Schirmer, Christiane Karajeva, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Andrea Bonatta, Ferenc Rados, Arbo Valdma, Tatiana Zelikman, Rita Kinka, Dorian Leljak, Natalia Troull and Jovanka Banjac. He has received scholarships and awards by the Mozarteum University Salzburg, the Junior Piano Academy Eppan, the Wilhelm Kempff Academy Positano, the Académie de Musique de Lausanne, the World Piano Teachers Association and the Government of Serbia for the most talented student. He also receives a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and participates in the intensive music weeks held there. 

Pavle has won more than 30 prizes in international piano competitions. The most important of them are the 1st prize at the “International Piano Competition Zlatko Grgosevic” in Zagreb, Croatia (2008), the 3rd prize at the Competition “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte” in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic (2009), the 1st prize in the International Competition Petar Konjovic in Belgrade, Serbia (2010), the 1st prize in the “International Piano Competition for Young Pianists” of EPTA Croatia in Osijek, (2011) and the 3rd prize in the “Concours international de piano Lagny-sur-Marne”, France (2013). He has won the 2nd prize and the prize for best performance of a modern composition at the “International Piano Competition for Young musicians” in Enschede, Netherlands (2016). He is the recipient of the award “ArtLink - Société Générale Most Promising Young Music Artist for 2016” and got his first CD published by ArtLink. He has received four prizes at the “Concours International Piano Campus 2019” in France as well as four prizes at the “Mayenne International Piano Competition”, also in France (2019). He won the 3rd prize at the “Marbella International Music Competition” in Spain (2019) and is the winner of the “Ferrara International Piano Festival 2019” in Italy.

Pavle has performed as a soloist at important events in more than 20 different countries. His first performance with an orchestra was at the age of ten and the most important is the performance of both piano concertos by Chopin at the Kolarac Concert Hall with Pavle Medakovic and the orchestra “Ansambl MO Stanislav Binicki” at the age of 17. Among others, Pavle performed with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and Maestro Mykola Dyadyura, with the Philharmonic Orchestra Bacau and Maestro Ovidiu Balan and with the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Josef Suilen. 

As a chamber musician he has collaborated with many musicians including Fedor Rudin, Irena Josifoska, Yukiko Uno and Petar Pejcic. He has also attended many music festivals as the Vienna Young Pianists, Neuhaus in Moscow, Astana Piano Passion, Next Generation in Switzerland, Busoni Piano Festival, Note d’estate, ArtLink Festival, Franz Liszt Fest in Serbia, International Music Festival in the Netherlands, Ljubljana Festival in Slovenia and the Glafsfjorden Music Festival in Arvika, Sweden.
