David Kessler

David Kessler, born in 2000 in Feldkirch, Austria, received his first violin lessons with his fahther at the age of 4. After first years of learning with Janice Bing-Wo, he was accepted into the gifted course of MMag. Alexandra Ruth Rappitsch at Dornbirn music school. Since autumn 2012, David is taught by Prof. Rudolf Rampf at the Tettnang music school in Germany. Furthermore, he now receives additional chamber music lessons with the piano trio "Da Moda" by Josef Hofer and Christoph Wyneken.

David Kessler was only aged 8, when he was allowed to prove his talent with a performance at the International ESTA-Congress in Vienna. In 2010 he received a first prize with distinction as a soloist at the austrian regional and national competition "Prima la Musica". At "Prima la Musica" 2011, he won the violin-piano duo category again at both the regional and national competition, together with pianist David Mikic. In addition, he was awarded the special prize from AGMÖ-Austria.

In 2012, Irakli Gogibedaschwili invited the young violinist to the renowned "Stars of Tomorrow" concerts, where he proved his talent with Wienawsky's Polonaise in A major. More Concerts in Feldkirch and St. Gallen ensued.

In his spare time, David Kessler likes playing the French horn and enjoys making music with the "Jungmusik" of his native town.
