Roman Fediurko

Roman Fediurko was born in Ukraine in 2004. He attended a music school in Kyiv at the age of five. His teacher was Professor Halyna Kotsiuba.

He receives a scholarship from the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities held there.

Roman has been taking part in music competitions since he was six. He is a laureate and student of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation's New Names of Ukraine. He also won several 1st prizes, including in 2021 at the “3rd Viennese Classics International Online Piano Competition Danubia Talents”, Hungary, at the “International Online Piano Competition Champions' Keyboard”, Italy, at the “International Piano Memorial Competition of Isidor Bajic”, Serbia or 2020 at the “International Online Piano Competition for the youth in Europe EUPLAYY”, Germany, at the “International Online Piano Competition Franz Liszt Center”, Spain as well as the 1st prize and the grand prize at the “International Online Piano Competition #StayHome Young”. Roman won the 2nd prize in 2021 at the “International Competition for Pianists and Composers named Carl Filtsch”, Romania. In 2020, he won the 1st prize in the category “Premio Enrico Galletta” at the “Livorno International Piano Competition”, in 2019 he won the 1st prize, the EMCY Prize and the State Philharmonic Prize at the “Peter Toperzer International Piano Competition” in Slovakia as well as the 2nd prize and the “Lipatti Prize” at the “International Competition for Young Pianists Merci, Maestro!” in Belgium. Also in 2019, he received the 1st prize and the prize of the Vivace Association at the “International Piano Competition Val de Travers” in Switzerland. In 2018, he was the absolute winner of the “51. International Piano Competition Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte” in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic. Between 2015 and 2017, he was an award winner at the “62. Grotrian-Steinweg International Piano Competition” in Germany, at the “Volodymyr Krainev International Piano Competition” in Ukraine, at the “Rosario Marchiano Piano Competition” in Austria, the “Piano Talents International Piano Competition” in Italy, the “International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz” in Ukraine, at the “Peter Toperzer International Piano Competition” in Slovakia, at the “Rotary Piano Competition” in Germany and at the “International Competition for Young Piano Players Amadeus” in the Czech Republic.

Roman has played at international festivals such as the Lato z Chopinem Piano Festival in Busko-Zdroj, Poland, the Südtirol Festival in Dobbiaco in Italy, the Rethinking Europe: Ukraine II Festival in Stockholm, the Festival Musicale delle Nazioni in Italy and the Starnberger Musiktage Festival in Germany. He has performed at the Teatro Marcello in Rome, in the Mahlerhalle at the concerts "Wunderkinder al pianoforte", in the Steinway Piano Gallery, at the Teatro Belloni in Barlassina and played at the prizewinners' concert of the international online competition for the youth in Europe EUPLAYY in the Fountain courtyard of the Munich Residence. He also took part in many benefit concerts in support of Ukraine in Austria in 2022.
