Sylvie Schelingerová was born in Czech Republic in 1993. She started playing the flute at the age of twelve and was admitted to the Prague Conservatory in the class of Prof. Jan Ostrý two years later. She has participated in many master classes such as Neuberger Kulturtage, Europäische Flötenakademie Fiss, Académie de musique franco-tchèque, Académie musical de Villecroze with flutists like Philippe Bernold, Philippe Boucly, Catherine Cantin, Anais Benoit, Sandrine Francois, Hansgeorg Schmeiser etc.
Sylvie is a prize-winner at several music competitions including the International woodwinds competition in Wroclaw - 1.prize, the international flute competition Flautiada in 2009 (second prize), Flautida in 2011 (second prize), Flautiada in 2013 (first prize), the international competition of young musicians Concertino Praga in 2011 (honorable mention) or the international flute competition in Jastrzebie-Zdroj in 2012 (honorable mention).
Sylvie is part of the Ensemble 18+ and the Prague Conservatory´s Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, she will perform with Capella Istropolitana.
