David Mikic was born in 2000 and lives in Feldkirch. He received his first piano lessons at the age of six at the Feldkirch Music School with Ulrike Kessler. In 2014 he began basic artistic studies at the Conservatory in Feldkirch. At the beginning Benjamin Engeli was his teacher here. Three years later he switched to Anna Adamik, with whom he has been studying piano as a major since 2017 for his bachelor's degree.
Masterclasses with Milana Chernyavska, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Arbo Valdma, Arnulf von Arnim and Annamaria Bodoky-Krause (solo), Christoph Wyneken, as well as Thomas Brandis (chamber music) and, since October 2019, regular private lessons with Dmitri Demiashkin in Zurich expand his musical spectrum. He is also a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Lichtenstein, where he regularly takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy.
Very early David was able to receive several 1st prizes with distinction and special prizes in recognition of his talent and virtuosity, both at the state level and at the national “prima la musica” competition.
He is also the piano partner of numerous other musicians with a wide variety of instruments, as an accompanist and in various ensembles. In addition to his main instrument, the piano, he also plays the accordion as a second instrument.
