Denis Linnik

Denis Linnik was born in 1995 in Belarus. He started his piano studies at the age of seven in the local music school with Professor Valentina Shetsko. In 2004, he was accepted to the Republican Akhremchik Upper School-College of Arts into the class of the eminent piano teacher Tatiana Sergievskaya. Since 2017, he studies the piano under the tutorship of Professor Claudio Martínez Mehner at the University of Music Basel, Switzerland.

He took part at IMS Prussia Cove (UK), where he had lessons with professors Ferenc Rados and Rita Wagner. He receives a scholarship from the International Music Academy Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive music weeks and activities of the academy. 

Dennis won prizes at several international competitions like the “Cantú International Piano and Orchestra Competition (1st prize and audience prize), the “International Competition for Young Pianist in Memory of Vladimir Horovitz” (5th  prize), the “Delphic Games” (1st prize), the “International Competition for Young Pianist in S. Prokofiev's Native Land” (1st prize) and the “International Competition for Young Pianist named after Alemdar Karamanov” (2nd prize). He won also some special awards, including the “Special Prize of European Union of Music Competitions for Youth” (2017), the “Special Prize of Conservatoire de Puteaux Jean-Baptiste Lully” (2017) and the main Scholarship of the Belarus President's Special Fund (2009, 2011, 2014).

Denis played recitals in Belarus, France, Germany, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Italy, Finland, Switzerland and the USA, both as a soloist and as a part of different chamber music ensembles. His orchestra biography includes performances with the Crimea State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Brest Symphony Orchestra and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
