Maximilian Beer

Maximilian Beer was born in Germany in 2003. From 2018 to 2022, he attended the music high school Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach as a young violin student with Prof. Stephan Picard and Prof. Tomasz Tomaszewski. He has been a student at the HMDK Stuttgart with Prof. Sarah Christian since 2022. 

He received further artistic impulses from Prof. Sebastian Schmidt, Prof. Ingolf Turban, Prof. Ulf Schneider, Noah Bendix-Balgley and Sebastian Bohren. He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks and activities of the academy. 

Maximilian has won several 1st prizes in the "Jugend Musiziert" competition with the highest score (2011, 2013, 2016, 2019) and a special prize from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, as well as the "Stockholm International Music Competition" (2016). In 2017, he also received a 3rd prize at the “II. International Violin Competition Witold Rowicki in Memoriam" in Zywiec/Poland. In 2019, he won a special prize at the "WESPE" competition for the best interpretation of a classical modern work. 

Maximilian has been gaining orchestral experience since 2015, when he was eleven years old and the youngest member of the Europera Youth Orchestra, where he accompanied the opera The Marriage of Figaro under the direction of Bruno Weil at the Junge Oper Schloss Weikersheim. He gave concerts as a member of the Federal Youth Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle, Kirill Petrenko and Lothar Zagrosek. In 2022, Maximilian was a member of the Academy of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra under the direction of Krzysztof Urbanski, Omer Meir Wellber, Ludwig Wicki and Christoph Eschenbach. 

Maximilian also loves to play in chamber music formations and has performed in ensembles at Kronberg Academy and at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. 

He regularly performs as a soloist in various churches and castles and gives solo recitals. Every year, he is invited to the elite concerts in Born a. Darß. 

Since 2021, Maximilian has been supported by the loan of a violin from Stephan von Baehr in 2010 from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
