Ron Maxim Huang

Ron Maxim Huang, born in Berlin in 2001, received his first piano lessons at the age of nine. He is a young student at the Julius Stern Institute at the Berlin University of Arts in the piano class of Prof. Markus Groh and a student at the C.Ph.E.Bach music high school in Berlin. 

He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part in the intensive weeks there.

In 2011 he won the 1st prize at the “Jugend musiziert” competition and the 2nd prize at the “75. International Steinway Piano Competition”. In 2014 and 2017, Ron won his 1st federal prize in the “piano solo” category at the “Jugend musiziert” competition and was awarded a scholarship from the Carl Bechstein Foundation and a special prize from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. He also received a prize from the Berthold Hummel Foundation and a two-time Carl Heinz Illies grant from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. At the “International Competition for Young Pianists” in Ettlingen, Ron won a sponsorship award in 2016 and the 3rd prize in 2020 (group B participants). 

Ron performed as a soloist with the Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra in the Medingen Monastery and with the Potsdam Chamber Academy in the Nikolaisaal. In 2017 he made his debut in the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic with Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 he made two appearances with the 1st Piano Concerto by Grieg with the Neue Lausitzer Philharmonie in Saxony and played the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 with the orchestra of the C.Ph.E.Bach Music High School in the concert hall of the Berlin University of Arts. In 2020 Ron Maxim Huang gave a concert together with Daniel Hope in the concert series "Stars & Rising Stars" in Munich.
