María Linares Molero

María Linares was born in 2001 in Spain. Since she was seven, she is a piano student of professor Juan Lago. 

She has attended master classes by Paul Badura-Skoda, Edith Fischer, Cyprien Katsaris, Lang Lang, Jean-Marc Luisada and Pascal Rogé. In addition, she received a scholarship from the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and took part in the academy's intensive music weeks and activities. 

María has been awarded in international piano competititions. Among others, she won the 1st  prize at the “International Piano Competition Vila de Xàbia” and at the “XII Music Forum Orihuela”, the 1st absolute prize at “Young Pianists in Sigüenza”, the 2nd prize at the “International Piano Competition María Herrero”, the 3rd prize at the XXI and XXII “Ibiza International Piano Competition” and the “VII Antón García Abril International Competition” and the 1st prize at the “XXI Ciutat de Carlet International Piano Competition”. Some of the national successes were the 1st prize at the “Concurso de Jovenes Intérpretes Ciutat de Xátiva”,  at the “XXVII Jacinto Guerrero Piano Competition” and at the  “XXXIV Concurso de Piano Ciudad de Linares”. She has also been awarded the 1st prize at the XX and XXI chamber music competition “Ximen d'Urrea” and 2nd price at the XIII “Vila Betxí Chamber Music Competition”.

Marías first piano recital was at age of twelve for the Eutherpe Foundation in Spain. She has been a guest performer and has played piano recitals at the Valldemossa Chopin Piano Festival, at the Campillos Music Festival, the 18th Segovia Festival, the Ensems International Contemporary Music Festival 2017 and 2018 and the Forum Junger Solisten in 2016, 2017 and 2018. She performed in prestigious venues like the Barcelona Auditorium, the Manuel de Falla Auditorium, the Josep Carreras Auditorium, the Palau de la Música de Valencia, the Valencian Museum of Contemporary Art, the Contemporary Art Center El Carmen and at the Beneficiencia Cultural Center in Valencia, at the Teatro Rossini Gioia del Colle, the Museo Diocesano di Brescia and the École Normale Supérieure in París, among other places. 

María is the second head pianist of the Generalitat Valenciana Youth Orchestra, and she has performed with them at the Palau de Les Arts as well as in other venues.
