International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein in dialogue with leading European music universities

15. January 2020

"New impulses for the culture of teaching and university life" are being developed by an international working group of university lecturers, to which the Music Academy Basel, the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, the University Mozarteum Salzburg and the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein have joined.

What conditions do young artists need to fully develop their talent and to be able to successfully find their place in musical life? What responsibility do the teachers and the institutions have for their graduates, for the further development of musical life? What contributions can and must we make?

The working group examines the strengths and critical points of university work, thinks about a new culture of teaching and looks for interesting models and new solutions.

The first work phase under the motto "Beyond master's apprenticeship ..." took place from January 10th to 12th, 2020 at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg. Three more phases in Basel, Munich and Liechtenstein will follow until the project is completed.
